Meet Sean.

Sean Ordonez was born in Colombia and started shaping in 1986. He apprenticed under Ricky Carroll at Natural Art Surfboards in Florida, where he shaped and competed on longboards and learned the craft from the foam up. A few years later he moved to Maui with his windsurfing gear and $500. His first job there was laminating boards at Ed Angulo's factory, and he has been building boards on the island ever since.
Over almost 40 years, Sean has designed for nearly every way of riding the ocean: surfing, windsurfing, stand-up paddle, kite, tow and foil. Each one has taught him something new about speed, rail and flow, and he brings all of it into every board. He is also a strong surfer and waterman, so his ideas get tested by him in real conditions before they reach anyone else.
What sets Sean apart is how he works with riders. Before he shapes, he wants to understand how a person surfs and what they need from a board. Then he handles every step himself: design, shaping, sanding and finishing, and working directly with the factory when a board goes into production. He is a craftsman first, and his name has been trusted by riders at every level, from first-timers to world champions. Today he is also a head judge at the Aloha Classic, windsurfing's most prestigious event.
